Faith in the Unseen

Our visit to Scotland brought its old myths vividly to life. From the quiet fairy forest to the dark, expansive waters of Loch Ness, each place carried more than scenery, it carried story. 

In the forest, tales of fairies encouraged a different kind of attention. To walk there was to enter with humility, imagination, and respect for what may lie beyond immediate understanding. At Loch Ness, the legend of Nessie transformed a simple question, what lies beneath the water? into a meditation on mystery itself. 

These myths matter because modern life often insists that only what can be measured or photographed is real. Yet love, memory, hope, beauty, and trust cannot be held in the hand, even though they shape our lives profoundly. Fairy tales and monster legends do not demand literal belief; they invite us to admit that reality may exceed our senses. 

Faith in the unseen is not about blind belief. It is about openness. It is about trusting that not everything meaningful is immediately visible, provable, or fully understood. 

As I reflect on these myths, I wonder: 

• What unseen forces are shaping your life right now? 

• Where do you allow imagination, trust, or mystery to guide you? 

• And how might you honour those invisible currents with the same reverence you give to what you can see?
